Professional Background
Mr Hyseni is an experienced optometrist with keen interest in clinical optometry, acute ophthalmology and ocular surface disease. He gained his primary qualification (BSc Hon in Optometry and Vision Sciences) from London City University and has since undergone extensive post-graduate training, achieving a Diploma in Therapeutics & Independent Prescribing, PG Diploma in Clinical Optometry, PG Diploma in Applied Cognitive Neuroscience and Professional Certificate in Glaucoma. He has a unique background of experience including research, university lecturing, specialist hospital service, urgent and acute eye care and many more. He offers expert witness services in optometry, specialist optometric services and ocular surface disease.
Elion is part of the Community Ophthalmology Team and is actively involved in the design of services aiming to make specialist eyecare more accessible in the community. Although mostly engaged in seeing patients referred to him by local GPs or other optometrists, he is also available for routine sight test, contact lens fitting and other core optometry services.
